According to the Law of Ukraine "On Ensuring the Sanitary and Epidemiological Welfare of the Population", the conclusion of the state sanitary and epidemiological examination is a document of the established form, which certifies the compliance (or non-compliance) of the object of the state sanitary and epidemiological examination with the medical safety requirements for human health and life . This document is approved by the relevant chief state sanitary doctor and is mandatory for the owner of the object of examination.

The object of the state sanitary-epidemiological examination is any activity, technology, products and raw materials, projects of regulatory documents, implementation (functioning, use) of which can have a harmful effect on human health, as well as existing objects and current regulatory documents in cases when their harmful effect is established in the process of functioning (use), as well as in the event of the expiration of the established period of validity of the state sanitary-epidemiological examination.

Based on the results of the examination, a sanitary-epidemiological conclusion is issued.

We draw your attention to the fact that the conclusion of the SES in Ukraine on food products is not issued. For food products, manufacturers must have a HACCP or management system that meets the ISO 22000 standard.

Depending on the object of the examination, in order to prepare an application for obtaining a sanitary-epidemiological opinion, it is necessary to provide, in particular:

- the applicant's documents and details;

- product samples;

- certificates (hygiene, quality, safety, country of origin of the manufacturer);

- product description (its scope of application), or safety data sheets for individual products;

- application for examination;

- power of attorney for a representative.
