Previously, according to the Law of Ukraine "On State Registration of Legal Entities and Individual Entrepreneurs", in order to confirm information about a legal entity, a legal entity was obliged to submit to the state registrar every year within the month following the date of state registration, starting from the following year registration card confirming information about a legal entity. What was worth was only the consequence of not carrying out the specified actions - which led to the fact that, based on the data on the legal entity, the district authorities of the DPS made a decision to cancel the registration of the VAT payer.

Starting from the end of November 2015. with the entry into force of the new edition of the Law of Ukraine "On State Registration of Legal Entities, Individual Entrepreneurs and Public Organizations", the requirement for mandatory annual confirmation of information was excluded.

As of today, taking into account the fact that the service "confirmation of information about a legal entity" is technically not available to state registrars, as well as the absence of such a form of registration application as confirmation of information among those approved by the Order of the Ministry of Justice - formally, such a service no longer exists.

However, given that some legal entities have been registered for a long time, and their registration documents (extracts) do not contain (or contain incompletely) information about being registered with the State Tax Service, the Pension Fund, and statistical authorities - today there is a technical possibility, an update option data on a legal entity in the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, Individual Entrepreneurs and Public Organizations (USR).

In this case, we are talking about submitting to the state registrar an application for state registration of changes to the information about the legal entity contained in the UDR with the note "Changes to the constituent documents that are not related to the introduction of changes to the information about the legal entity contained in the Unified State Register register of legal entities, natural persons - entrepreneurs and public formations" or "Change of information for communication with a legal entity".

After the state registrar enters the updated data on the legal entity in the EDR specified in the application, the relevant bodies (departments) of the State Tax Service, the Pension Fund, and statistics are obliged to confirm the information, thereby updating the accounting registration data about the legal entity in the EDR.
