According to the law of Ukraine, an industrial design is the result of a person's intellectual, creative activity in the field of artistic design. That is, it is a new idea, expressed in the design of the appearance of the product. Most often, objects of an industrial design are submitted for registration, in particular, the shape, product design, packaging, labels, logo (or part thereof), interior/

 

! It is important to note that there are 2 main requirements for industrial samples - their novelty and individuality (originality).

 

To register the right to an industrial design, it is necessary to submit an application and the corresponding application and necessary documents, after consideration of which the applicant is issued a protected document - a Certificate. The validity period of the certificate is 5 years and can be extended for a period of no more than 25 years.

 

The application for registration of an industrial design must contain:

  • information about the applicant, his address, as well as data and address of the author;
  • a set of images of an industrial sample, which gives a complete idea of its appearance;
  • description of the industrial design;
  • drawing, scheme, map (if necessary).

 

IN ORDER TO REGISTER AN INDUSTRIAL SAMPLE YOU NEED:

  1. an image of an industrial sample (preferably in *jpg format);
  2. surname, patronymic of the applicant and the author (if the author is another person).
